Styleframes made with Creative Mammals for The Walking Dead - Season 11 - Part 2. By now the characters have been through a lot both mentally and physically so I wanted to work with the idea of deterioration. The client provided photos that were taken on set and I used those to image map the characters’ faces onto geometry. Once that was done I was able to build the heads using x-particles and explode them using various modifiers. Since the photos were brought into 3D space I was able to relight the characters with moodier lighting and give all the photos the same look. This concept didn’t end up being used in the end but it was still fun to make. Thanks to Creative Mammals for having me on!
